JUNIOR COACHING PROGRAM

FC DELCO’s Junior Coaching Program is an apprenticeship for high school-age players within the club to learn how to become a coach through practical on-field experience and mentorship. 

Junior Coaches will directly support members of our professional staff in training sessions by serving as role models for younger players, helping to create a fun and energetic atmosphere while learning how to lead and demonstrate activities.

Additionally, Junior Coaches are eligible to complete high school required community service hours and receive assistance obtaining a US Soccer grassroots coaching licensing.

This is the perfect opportunity for players interested in developing leadership skills, building a coaching foundation and forming lasting relationships with staff coaches and future generations of FC DELCO players.

CRITERIA

· High school age players (2008 birth year and older)

· Currently playing for FC DELCO

· Committed to attending a minimum of one training sessions per week

· Completed application (see below) 

KEY DATES

· Spring application deadline: Saturday, February 25, 2023

· Junior Coaches announced: Friday, March 3, 2023

· Spring program dates: Monday, March 6, 2023 - April 28, 2023
